Ceuta: Migrant boy swims to shore with plastic bottles tied to himself
A migrant boy with plastic bottles tied to himself arrived at the Spanish enclave of Ceuta after swimming across the Spain-Morocco border.
Footage showed soldiers talking to the visibly distressed boy from the shore before he ran onto El Tarajal beach and attempted to scale a wall of rocks.
Around two-thirds of the roughly 8,000 migrants who made it to the enclave - and who Spanish authorities said included unaccompanied children as young as seven - have been expelled, the interior ministry in Madrid said.

Professor Tsimonis will present his research around the landmark investment of China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) in the port of Piraeus and discuss its political, social, economic and environmental repercussions. The speaker will approach COSCO's investment as an embedded phenomenon and unpack the agency of local, regional and global actors in order to assess the question of 'Chinese influence'. This talk will introduce to the Weatherhead audience the context of Chinese activities and policies in Greece. The speaker will also discuss the challenge and the necessity for developing independent China expertise in countries with no China studies tradition, as a way to mitigate the political risks arising from the PRC's global economic outreach.

(29 Sep 2013) Residents of Keratsini, southern Greece, placed flowers on Sunday at the scene of the fatal stabbing of a rapper by a supporter of Greek extreme right party Golden Dawn on September 18.
The death of rapper Pavlos Fyssas sparked outrage across Greece. The suspect arrested over his death admitted to police that he had stabbed the 34-year-old and identified himself as a supporter of Golden Dawn.
The Greek government is cracking down on the fiercely anti-immigrant party.
Six legislators from the extreme-right Golden Dawn party and dozens of its members are now in custody, accused of being members of a criminal organisation with intent to commit crimes.
Among them is Christos Pappas - a lawmaker described by prosecutors as the Golden Dawn's Number 2 official. He surrendered to police on Sunday.
Giorgos Kassimatis, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Athens explained that in spite of the arrests, the Golden Dawn lawmakers will remain members of parliament, unless they are formally charged.
"As long as they have not been charged with the deprivation of their civil rights, they can still be members of parliament even while they are in temporary custody or imprisonment," Kassimatis explained from Piraeus.
